Short-Term Volunteering in Aruba. TEAM PROJECT - Dream, Dare, Do 2026 (5-26 July)
3-Week International Team Project Structure
Dream, Dare, Do (DDD) is Popcorn Club Aruba’s annual international team project held each July. Over three intensive weeks, local youth, European Solidarity Corps volunteers, and international guest artists collaborate through arts, leadership, and non-formal education.
The program moves through three structured phases: Foundation, Creation, and Production.
Week 1 — Foundation & Formation
We begin with integration, On-Arrival Training, leadership sessions, and team building. Participants learn about non-formal education, safeguarding, First Aid basics, and intercultural collaboration. Roles are defined, trust is built, and the journey begins.
Week 2 — Creation & Collaboration
Workshops take place in dance, theatre, music (musical instruments & production), painting, writing, documentation, and leadership.
In 2026, two urban dance groups from Colombia join the program, expanding our international exchange and artistic diversity.
Ideas turn into choreography. Stories become performance.
Week 3 — Production & Showcase
Rehearsals intensify as all creative elements come together. The journey culminates in a public performance where confidence, culture, and collaboration take the stage. Reflection and Youthpass sessions close the experience.
DDD is more than a program.
It is a space where young people discover their voice, strengthen their discipline, and grow into leaders.
This flagship project is one of Popcorn Club’s most important annual initiatives and represents our commitment to international collaboration and youth empowerment.

Long-Term Volunteering in Aruba
Deep Integration. Meaningful Contribution.
Through the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), Popcorn Club Aruba welcomes international volunteers for long-term placements lasting between 2 and 12 months. These placements allow volunteers to become fully integrated into the daily life of the organisation while contributing meaningfully to youth development in Aruba.
Supporting Youth Programs on the Ground
Long-term ESC volunteers actively contribute to Popcorn Club’s daily activities. They assist with dance workshops, creative sessions, mentorship programs, and community events, while also supporting project coordination, documentation, and preparation of performances and cultural initiatives.
Unlike short-term team projects, long-term volunteering allows individuals to grow gradually into their responsibilities. Volunteers gain confidence, take initiative, and build lasting relationships within the local community.
This experience offers sustained involvement, deeper responsibility, and the opportunity to develop independent ideas within a structured youth work environment.
Incoming volunteers receive:
Structured onboarding and orientation
Clear supervision within the organisation
Independent mentoring support
Youthpass guidance and competency reflection
Practical support with accommodation, local transport, and daily living

Building Bridges Across Europe
Through the European Solidarity Corps, we create meaningful connections between Aruba and Europe. Volunteers contribute to strengthening international cooperation while gaining hands-on experience in youth work, non-formal education, and community development.
Long-term volunteering in Aruba offers more than professional growth — it provides cultural immersion and the opportunity to experience Caribbean community life while contributing to solidarity across borders.
Growing as a Direct Hosting Organization
In previous years, we collaborated with partner organisations such as Tur Costa Posible and CEDE Aruba to host volunteers.
From 2027 onward, Popcorn Club will operate as a direct hosting organisation, increasing our independence and strengthening our institutional capacity within the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps framework.
This development reflects our long-term commitment to quality, structured supervision, and sustainable international cooperation.
Volunteering with Popcorn is not just participation.
It is commitment, growth, and solidarity in action.
International Trainings, Youth Exchanges & Capacity Building
Strengthening Youth Work Through Global Collaboration
Since 2019, Popcorn Club Aruba has actively engaged in international training courses, youth exchanges, and capacity-building activities under the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps frameworks. Through continuous learning, partnership building, and leadership development, we have strengthened both our local impact and our international role in youth work.

First International Training Participation
Popcorn Club began participating in Erasmus+ training courses across Europe. These experiences introduced innovative non-formal education methods, facilitation tools, and international best practices that enhanced our youth programs in Aruba.
This marked the beginning of our structured international engagement.

Expanding European Partnerships
Through continued participation in seminars, partnership-building activities, and international training courses, our team developed strong relationships with youth organisations across Europe.
These collaborations created new pathways for volunteering, youth exchanges, and long-term project cooperation, expanding opportunities for both local and international participants.

From Participation to Strategic Cooperation
As our experience grew, Popcorn Club transitioned from being only a training participant to becoming an active partner in project development and implementation. We contributed to program design, intercultural facilitation, and shared best practices in youth leadership and creative methodologies.
This period strengthened our institutional credibility and international network.Through continued participation in international seminars and training courses, our team built strong partnerships with youth organizations across Europe.
These collaborations opened doors for future projects, exchanges, and volunteer opportunities.

Hosting & Facilitating Training Activities
Popcorn Club began contributing not only as participants, but also as facilitators and co-organizers within international training environments.
By sharing our expertise in youth engagement, arts-based learning, dance-driven methodology, and community development, we reinforced our position as a reliable partner within the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps ecosystem.
Continuous Growth
International trainings are not isolated events. They directly influence:
Our non-formal education methodology
Our safeguarding standards
Our mentoring systems
Our leadership approach
Our project quality and structure
Through global collaboration, we continue strengthening youth work in Aruba while contributing meaningfully to the broader European youth field.
