Our culture. Our history.
Our pride — lived in one powerful journey.
Aruba Ta Nos is a cultural and educational experience by Popcorn Club Aruba where participants symbolically live through an entire year of Aruban life in just 24 hours.
This immersive journey moves month by month through Aruba’s local yearly celebrations, traditions, and national moments, allowing youth to actively experience — not just learn about — what shapes our identity.
Throughout the program, participants engage with:
New Year traditions and Dande
Carnival culture (Reina, Prins, Pancho, creativity and performance)
Anthem & Flag celebrations and national symbols
Easter traditions
Dera Gai and folkloric heritage
Children’s Day and Sinterklaas traditions
Christmas traditions and cultural storytelling
Monument visits and historical reflections
Traditional songs, sayings, and games from earlier generations
In addition to cultural immersion, Aruba Ta Nos integrates scouting-based skills and outdoor learning. Youth develop practical competencies such as:
Teamwork and shared accountability
Structured group movement and discipline
Respect for traffic rules and safety
Navigation and exploration of nature
Resilience through physical challenges
Leadership within a team structure
Creative problem-solving through missions and games
Participants walk, cycle, explore Aruba’s landscape, complete group challenges, create performances, and embody the rhythm of a full Aruban year — all within 24 hours.
The methodology is rooted in non-formal education, where arts, culture, movement, and lived experience become tools to strengthen:
Cultural pride
Leadership and responsibility
Physical vitality
Civic awareness
Respect for heritage and community
Aruba Ta Nos is not a show.
It is a structured cultural experience where youth practice identity, discipline, creativity, and unity.
Aruba is ours — and we live it, protect it, and carry it forward.
